"You Want A Husband So Bad."

Oh Henry.

You don't even realize how fortunate you are that I have learned control over my words so I don't verbally assault you when you say things like this to me. The sentence doesn't really sound bad, it's more of how you say it all condescending like. But I let it slide because I don't think you realize how rude you are being. And I can't be bothered to raise you right.

Anyway, Yes. I want a husband. Is that a bad thing?  I don't want to get married just to be married, but I want to be married to someone that I love and want to grow a life and family with.

I'm 25. So this is not a crazy age to be getting married at. Kara told me that I should move to Seattle with her because she has tons of unmarried friends, and everyone tends to get married when they are older so then I won't feel pressured to be married.

Although I appreciate Kara's suggestion, I must say that I don't feel pressured to be married. My mom never says anything other than it'll happen when it should and not to settle. Then she throws in the bit about how she waited 20 years (or something like that) to find Sam. Nice sentiment since she's so happy, but I don't really want to wait another 20 years...I think I cried the first time she told me that as motivation. And although she never says anything I do feel that she would probably appreciate grandkids. But married or not, I'm not quite ready for the kid part anyway.

My dad is more than supportive of my lack of marriage and prospects. He tells me that I'm young and don't need to worry about even dating until I'm well into my 30s. I think not having to pay for a wedding might be what motivates his view. If he wants to make me a stay at home daughter, pay for my bills, and give me allowance, then I'd be more than happy to never marry and move in with him!

Henry has made a few comments about me and marriage. The first one that actually made me call my mom crying was "You are so desperate to be married."

I was so caught off guard by it that I didn't even say anything back. Knowing what I do about him, I really don't think he realizes how offensive his word choice was, so I didn't hold it against him for more than a few days.

But that word desperatestuck with me.

I don't feel that it describes my desire for marriage at all. If I were desperate then I'd probably be putting more effort into it. Like any effort at all. On a scale of crazy cat lady to together forever, I'd say I'm giving crazy cat lady effort.

In the last almost year and a half I've only gone on dates with two different people. And that? Is what I call not trying.

What do you think about marriage? Am I crazy for wanting that? Does it make me desperate?
Do you too think Henry should STFU?

Shia LaDone

I do not like my Shia LaBuff.
I do not like my Shia LaScruff.
I def don't like my Shia LaWTFiswiththatjessejameshair?

I miss the Shia from a few years back when he was a full on sexpot.

This is it. I've had enough and am ending my Shia LaCrush.

I am now pledging allegiance to Ian Somerhalder...

or maybe Steven McQueen...or maybe both.

pshhhhhh. pshhhhh. Hairspray

Did you like my hairspray sound? Oh, you didn't know what that was supposed to be...awkward.

I ran out of my Big Sexy hairspray. In an attempt to be budget conscious I opted to go with Garnier Fructis. It was less than $4, claimed to be volumizing (emphasis on claimed), and is supposed to be Humidity resistant. Living in Houston with summer just around the corner, I figured the Humidity resistant feature would be great to have. Sounds good right? Here’s the deal, it doesn’t volumize to save its life!  Back when I still had my beloved Big Sexy, if my hair was every looking a little flat I could spray it under the top layers and it would provide instant lift. Oh how I miss those days!

It also “Spring Hold.” I think that that translates to “you just spent $4 on something that doesn’t do anything except make your hair soft and smell good." I will be making a trip to the store to pledge my allegiance to Big Sexy Hair once again. How dare I ever leave it again!

What’s your favorite hair spray?

Shia LaWTF??

ok. I love Shia. I loved him in Even Stevens when he was going through his awkward looking phase. That show was so funny!
My love only grew for Shia when he became all grown and sexy. Transformers, Disturbia, and (soon) Wall Street 2 are in my regular rotation.
His interviews are always great and only second to Rob. Swoon. Even though he had a mini boufaunt, he always looked super chic on the red carpet.

Now let me ask you, how did he go from this?
to this?

I will always have a special place in my heart for him, but why did he let himself go at the age of 24? Shia needs to pull himself together!

WTF?

Tonight someone threw an egg at my car while I was driving. And no, I didn't make a driving offense against them. I mean, who does that?? They were in their lane entering the freeway, and I was in my lane staying on the feeder road. Matilda is my pride and joy, so I was a little livid when I stopped and Daniel discovered the freaking egg all over my hood! What a bunch of aholes. Daniel cleaned it off with a windshield washer while I fed Matil. Then we went through the express car wash, emphasis on express. I believe the whole was was about 2 minuets long. It sprayed my car with water. Seriously?? $7 for it to spray my car with water? That was irritating.

Other than that, tonight was good. I enjoyed Thai Cottage (compliments of Daniel), and Eclipse Special Edition (compliments of Daniel).

Daniel's basically the best. I might let him date me a while longer.

Holy Inappropriateness!

Why do parents take their children to rated R movies? This never ceases to baffle me, especially when their kids are not even in double digit years. Last night Daniel and I went to see Watchmen, and I don't even think I was old enough to see it! There was nudity, adult "situations," and very graphic violence; I had to cover my eyes and ears a couple of times. And I fought the urge to ask the parents WTF, why would you do this to your kids, because now they are going to grow up and be promiscuous serial killers. At least Daniel agrees that we won't take our kids to such showings. All in all, the movie was not something I would recommend; the end left me confused and empty.

So I finally arrived in Houston late Friday night. My flight was delayed which caused me to run so I could catch my connecting flight. Lucky me, on my connecting flight I got to sit by a woman who complained on the phone about the delay. When I did get to Houston we went to Wal-mart to get dinner and breakfast. I was so hungry it was insane!
Saturday we made an unsuccessful outing to the outlet mall. For our date we tried a different Mexican restaurant, Lupe Tortilla, and it was delicious! It is our current Houston favorite. Then we wasted some of Daniel's money by going to see Watchmen.

It has been raining since I arrived and I wish it would stop.
Today we are going to the Galleria and we will hopefully look at some sparkly things!
